1. Service Description

Cook And Nurture provides professional in-home cooking services, including meal planning, grocery shopping, food preparation, and kitchen cleanup. By booking a session, the Client agrees to the terms outlined below. We offer different packages from time to time, and our website

2. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a safe and efficient cooking environment, the Client agrees to:

• Access: Provide a clean, functional workspace with working appliances (stove, oven, sink, and refrigerator/freezer). The client agrees to provide access to the home at the scheduled time (via key, code, or being present).

• Equipment: Unless otherwise agreed, the Client shall provide basic cookware and utensils. Cook And Nurture will bring their own specialised equipment and take utmost care when working in a Client’s kitchen and using their equipment, and the Chef  is not responsible for damage to Client-provided equipment during normal use.

• While I carry Public Liability Insurance, Cook And Nurture is not responsible for damage caused by faulty kitchen appliances or pre-existing plumbing/electrical issues in the client’s home.

• Cleanliness: I will leave your kitchen as clean (or cleaner!) than I found it. Please ensure the sink is clear and the stovetop is accessible before I arrive

• Safety & Pets: Ensure the kitchen is free of hazards. Pets and small children must be kept away from the food preparation area for safety and hygiene reasons.

3. Food Safety & Allergies

The Client must disclose all food allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions in writing prior to the service date. While every precaution is taken, [Your Business Name] cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment if the Client’s kitchen has been previously used for those allergens.

Note: Once the Chef leaves the premises, proper food storage and reheating become the sole responsibility of the Client.

4. Payments and Cancellations

• Payment for the service is to be made in full upon booking

• Deposits: A $200 deposit is required to confirm your booking when we purchase the groceries on your behalf. We will settle the difference on the day of the Chef.

• Grocery Shopping Service Fee: A $50 is added on to the grocery deposit, and this is to cover the costs of grocery shopping on your behalf

• Cancellations (More than 72 Hours): Clients may cancel their booking at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled start time for a full refund of any monies paid.

• Cancellations (Less than 72 Hours): Cancellations made after the 72-hour window are non-refundable. Because groceries are sourced and preparation begins in advance, the Client must choose to either:

  1. Reschedule the service for a later date (subject to a rescheduling fee of $35.

  2. Forfeit the deposit and any grocery funds already expended.

• Final Payment: If there is a remaining balance to be paid at the end of the cook then it is due immediately upon completion of the service.

 

5. Grocery Reimbursement

In the event of a late cancellation (less than 72 hours), the Client is responsible for the full cost of any groceries already purchased. If the Client chooses to forfeit the service, they may arrange to pick up the purchased groceries, otherwise, they will be disposed of or donated at the Chef's discretion.

6. Travel and Logistics

Travel Radius: Services provided within a 30km radius of the Hornsby Shire District are included in the standard service rate.

Extended Travel Fees: For locations exceeding the 30km radius, a travel surcharge will apply. This fee is calculated based on total mileage and travel time and is applied at the sole discretion of Cook And Nurture.

Parking: If free onsite parking is unavailable, any parking fees or tolls incurred during the service will be added to the final invoice.

7. Service Packages and Pricing

Validity of Offer: Cook And Nurture reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue service packages and pricing at any time without prior notice.

Binding Rates: The service description and price applicable to your booking are those displayed on the official Cook And Nurture website at the time the order is placed and the deposit is paid.

Quotes: Any custom written quotes provided via email are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. After this period, the quote is subject to re-evaluation based on current market rates and package structures.​

8. Eligibility

 

You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with Cook And Nurture, and only in compliance with this Agreement and all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, rules and regulations. Any use of the Service by anyone under 18 is strictly prohibited and in violation of this Agreement. If you are a Government Benefits Participant, it is your responsibility to check if you are eligible for our cooking services. If you are not eligible and have used the service, it is your responsibility to pay the invoice immediately on presentation of the invoice.

 

9. Service Packages and Pricing

10. Feedback and Complaints

 

If for whatever reason you are not happy with your service please call, email or text us a soon as possible. We will aim to answer and respond to any queries within 24 hours.

 

11. Privacy & Security Data

 

At Cook And Nurture, we value the trust you place in us and care deeply about the integrity and security of your personal information. We take reasonable steps to protect your data; however:

• No Guarantee: While we implement industry-standard safeguards, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security measures or use your personal information for improper purposes.

• Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge and agree that you provide your personal information - including contact details and home addresses - at your own risk.

• Use of Information: Your data is used solely for the purposes of fulfilling your service, processing payments, and occasional business updates from Cook And Nurture.

12. Intellectual Property and Copyright

• Ownership of Content: All content provided by Cook And Nurture, including but not limited to custom recipes, menu designs, educational materials, and digital content on our website or social media, is the intellectual property of Cook And Nurture.

• Limited License: Clients are granted a personal, non-exclusive license to use the recipes and materials provided during their service for personal, non-commercial use. Redistribution, online posting, or commercial sale of Cook And Nurture recipes or materials without express written consent is strictly prohibited.

• Photography and Media: All photographs and videos taken by the Chef during the service remain the property of Cook And Nurture. We reserve the right to use this media for promotional purposes as outlined in the Media Release section of these terms.

13. Gift Certificate Policy

 

Certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Standard travel fees (beyond 30km from Hornsby Shire) still apply and can be paid by the recipient or included in the gift value.

 

14. Limitation of Liability

Cook And Nurture maintains high standards of professional conduct and food safety. However, the Client agrees to indemnify and hold Cook And Nurture harmless against any claims of injury, illness, or property damage arising from the service, except in cases of proven gross negligence.
